что такое аллергия

Literally a couple of phrases and the highlight…

I’m sure that people who have ever encountered allergies can already write a dissertation on the topic – What is an allergy?

Another question is that many people do not understand what to do about it. Today, the word “allergy” is one of the most commonly used medical terms in everyday life. It turns out that allergies claim to be the disease of the 21st century.

Who is to blame for this, stress, environmental pollution, food with a lot of additives, the pursuit of sterility by humanity, mass vaccination, the trendy psychosomatics, or some other factors?

For us, allergy sufferers, who have experienced allergic reactions at least once, we are no longer interested in delving into the root of the problem. We frantically start looking for ways to cope with it, to figure out how to live with it.

Allergy is a genetic predisposition to an inappropriate immune response of the body to ordinary substances that surround us. It is not a specific allergen that is inherited, but rather the hypersensitivity of the body itself. It is important to understand that allergy is not a curable disease, but you can learn to live with it. You can equip yourself with the desire and patience to try to put the allergy into persistent remission.

It is important to remember that allergy sufferers ALWAYS need to have medication with them that can block allergic reactions. Even if you only know about allergies from the stories of your loved ones.

The basis of an allergy is sensitization – an increased sensitivity of the body to a certain substance, usually a protein, which the body begins to perceive as a threat. Upon repeated exposure to the so-called enemy, the immune system activates all possible defense barriers. The goal of this defense is localization, elimination of activity, and complete destruction of the allergen (antigen).

The main substances that cause allergies are:

  • Dust (street, household, or book dust)
  • Pollen
  • Pet hair or dander (cats, dogs)
  • Fungal spores or mold
  • Food products (most commonly eggs, milk, wheat, soy, seafood, nuts, fruits)
  • Stings (venom) of bees, wasps, bumblebees, ants
  • Some medications (penicillin)
  • Latex
  • Household chemicals

A separate category is allergy to one’s own body proteins – autoallergy (autoaggression, autoimmunity). Autoallergy often develops in people predisposed to autoimmune diseases such as blood diseases, kidney diseases, and thyroid diseases. Autoallergy is mainly treated with the patient’s own blood – the method is called autogemotherapy, where blood is taken from the patient’s vein and immediately injected intramuscularly.

And here’s the highlight…

Some food proteins can be found in breast milk.

This explains why antibodies of the IgE class to products that the child has not yet eaten are detected in the child’s body.

And according to recent studies, breastfeeding does not protect against allergies.
